Block Print Artwork

Block printing is a technique whereby images are carved onto materials such as rubber, wood or lino and transferred to paper with ink. It is a traditional form of artwork used to create Japanese Hanga prints.

Each piece is designed and created by the artist by hand using carefully selected quality materials including archival inks and Japanese Awagami paper.

Created by Japanese Australian artist, inspiration is drawn from childhood memories and the transience of the natural environment. Featuring bold lines and simplicity of design, the pieces seek to capture the beauty and essence of fleeting moments in space and time.
