Hand carved and hand printed original block print artwork in Cicadas 'SEMI' design. The Japanese poet Matsuo Basho once wrote about the shrill sound of cicadas piercing the stillness of a summer's day, their pitch seeping into stone. In this block print artwork, two cicadas perch themselves on a tree trunk, their voices echoing boundlessly in an otherwise quiet temple garden.
Designed and crafted by Japanese Australian artist. Hand printed on high quality acid free Awagami paper from Japan using archival inks. Slight variations across individual pieces will occur due to the handmade nature of each print. Please note that frame/mount is NOT included.
